The first verse in fist chapter in Bible book of Genesis describes an excellent picture of good made from not so good. It begins in (NIV chapter verse 1) – “in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Then fast track to verse 31 for a world of great order – “God saw all that he had made , and it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning the sixth day.” Such a world of great order is what God desired.
Lately however, the world has been undergoing changes of stupendous proportions, putting millions of people in panic mode. Wars, environmental catastrophic events and economic recessions have put millions of people in states of doubt, indecision or fear. For example in September 2008, a global mortgage meltdown spurred by the consequences of United States debt exceeding its GDP transferred wealth from the poor to the wealthy through fear and panic. Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland have been slowly sinking in debt, threatening people with another wealth transfer. Man’s mind ceased to function according to God’s great order and instead is filled with fear.
I believe it is time we found answers from God’s good order as set out at the beginning. For example the sun continues to send down its rays of warmth for the plants on the earth to yield food and water continues to flow from the hills. The wild animals and birds of the air continue to receive their food proportions before heading for a restful night after sun set.
There are men and women who have demonstrated that faith works. Steve Jobs ,Warren Buffet and other great men have gone beyond wishes to find faith.
Faith is the power by which wishes are translated into beliefs and beliefs into realities. In Genesis, God said, let there be... and there become all that he commanded. As you prepare for the second half of 2016, take courage to review your past year with utmost honesty (repent), particularly your strengths, the mistakes you made and lessons from each mistake.
Clearly picture the opportunities lying in wait and proceed to write your vision and wealth action plans for 2030. Mix these thoughts with faith.
